Collection: Executive Office Chairs

An executive desk chair gets sat in all day and seen by everyone who walks into the office, so it has to do both jobs well. The chairs here come in bonded leather, leather, vinyl and mesh, with high or mid backs. The sections below cover the choices that actually separate them.

Bonded leather, leather, vinyl or mesh

The Zatto, Ivello and Altitude chairs are upholstered in bonded leather, which gives a leather finish at a lower price than full leather. Zatto and Ivello come in black, grey, sand and white, and Altitude in black and sand. Bacia chairs come in black or brown leather, with white also available on the high back, and the Reya is blue grade 6 leather with white diamond stitching. The TITAN is black vinyl. Mesh-back chairs such as the Flex, Classic Chic and Vienna let air through the back, which matters in a warm office. See also our luxury office chairs.

Knee tilt, synchro tilt or spring tilt

Knee tilt, used on the Zatto and Ivello, places the pivot near the front of the seat, so your feet stay on the floor when you lean back. Synchro tilt, used on the Altitude, Stella, Classic Chic and the Bacia mid back and high back, reclines the back further than the seat so the angle between them opens as you recline, which suits anyone who leans back through long calls. Most Bedarra executive chairs use a spring tilt with an upright lock, the simplest mechanism with the fewest adjustments.

High back or mid back

A high back supports the shoulders, and the Hercules, Cosy and Flex add a headrest. Mid-back versions of the Zatto, Altitude and Bacia sit lower and keep sightlines open across a desk or conference table, which makes them a good fit for managers' offices and meeting rooms.

Weight capacity and big and tall

Most chairs here are rated for 250 to 300 lb. The TITAN and the Bedarra Executive High Back Big and Tall are rated to 400 lb, and our big and tall office chairs add a mesh option.

Matching guest chairs

The Zatto has a matching visitor chair in the same four colors, and the Bacia has a matching leather side chair, so the chair behind the desk and the ones in front of it look like a set. For other options, see our office guest chairs.
