A 4 person cubicle groups four workstations into one two-by-two pod. We build ours in our own Tampa factory, in 5'x5' and 6'x6' footprints with 53" or 67" panels, and sell each pod as one configuration, priced for all four stations together.

For a team or department of four, a 4 person cubicle desk pod is the most compact way to give everyone their own desk while keeping them together in one place.

How a four person cubicle pod works

The four stations in a pod are divided by a cross of shared panels, so the block uses fewer panels than four separate cubicles would need. That is also why a pod lowers the cost per seat: the more stations share panels, the less each one costs.

Two stations open to the front of the pod and two open to the back, so it needs walking space on both of those sides. That gives it a more square shape on the floor than a row, which can run along a wall. 

In return, it keeps the team close enough to talk without leaving their desks, while each person still has their own enclosed workstation rather than a seat at a shared 4 person desk.

Choosing a size

Both sizes give each person a complete workstation. 6x6 adds more desk space and room to spread out, which suits people who work with paperwork or multiple screens all day. 

5x5 seats the same four people in noticeably less floor area, so it is the usual choice when you are fitting several pods into one room or keeping walkways clear around them.

When you plan a four person workstation, think about the pod as a whole, not just the desks. Allow room on the open sides for chairs to move in and out, and for people to walk past without squeezing between pods.

Choosing a panel height

53" panels give each person privacy while seated, but keep the pod open enough for the team to see each other and talk when they stand. Daylight also carries across the room. 

67" panels close each station off from view and cut cross-talk inside the pod, which makes them the better choice for teams that spend the day on calls, or for work that needs more concentration.

Who a 4 person cubicle workstation suits

Pods are a common choice for:

• A department or project team of four that works closely together
• Sales, support, or claims teams where people take calls but still need to check in with each other
• Offices adding headcount in blocks, placing pods side by side as the business grows
• Open floors where a square block fits better than a long run along the wall

Configure your pod

Each pod is configured on its product page. Choose between two stock fabrics or more than 100 upgraded options, and add drawer pedestals and power if the team needs them. Glass or fabric stackers, overhead storage bins, and wing panels can be added as well.

Standard 4 person workstation configurations are priced on this page. Pods ship by freight, tracked and insured, with white-glove delivery and assembly available. A member of our team will call before your order ships to go through your selections and delivery details. If you find a lower price on the exact same in-stock product, we will match or beat it.
