Four Ways to Add Privacy at the Desk
A curved PET screen that wraps the working position instead of cutting straight across it. Wrap sizes enclose the desk on three sides; Corner sizes handle one return, in left or right.
- Wrap, small 60" x 23" x 24", four brackets
- Wrap, medium 60" x 23" x 30", four brackets
- Wrap, large 72" x 23" x 30", four brackets
- Corner, small 30" x 23" x 24", two brackets
- Corner, large 36" x 23" x 30", two brackets
The 23" height splits 17.5" above the desktop and 5.5" below it, so the screen reads as a surround rather than a wall. Brackets are embedded in the panel, so nothing hardware-like shows. Rated NRC 0.60, tackable, and offered in eight finishes with duotone options.
Stands on the floor and reaches over the desk, so it separates facing seats on benching without touching the worksurface at all. Every size is 53" tall overall.
- Single for a 24" deep desk, 52" wide
- Single for a 30" deep desk, 58" wide
- Double for a 48" wide table, 108" wide
- Double for back-to-back 24" deep desks, 112" wide
- Double for a 60" wide table, 120" wide
- Double for back-to-back 30" deep desks, 124" wide
A height-adjustable foot lets the single rest securely on any surface between 27.5" and 29.5" tall. Doubles carry 30" of clearance beneath. The aluminum frame is interlocking and modular, made from 75% recycled content, assembles in under ten minutes, and cleans with healthcare-grade cleaners.
Magnets embedded in the acoustic core mean panels attach with no drilling and no power tools. Repositioning is a matter of sliding a panel along its bracket, which makes this the one to pick where the seating plan is still moving.
- Side panels 30" wide, 15" or 24" high, ordered left or right handed
- Modesty panels 48", 60", or 72" wide, 30" or 39" high, sitting 15" or 24" above the worksurface
Panels are 0.75" acoustic PET, thick enough to absorb noise and soft enough to take a thumbtack, and each one takes a separate interior and exterior colour so the screen can read one way to the person sitting at it and another to the room. The steel brackets are coated in a dry erase finish, fit any worksurface up to 1.5" thick, and a device organizer handles cable management.
A three-sided enclosure that clamps to the desk edge and wraps a single touchdown position. The one option in the range offered in clear acrylic first, so it works as a see-through barrier as well as a privacy screen. Every panel is 24" high.
- Side panels 24" or 30" wide
- Back panels 48", 60", or 72" wide
Aluminum clamps adjust to any worksurface up to 1.5" thick and extend 2.25" below it. Panels sit 1" off the desk edge so cords pass behind them. Assembles in under five minutes, the fastest of the four, and cleans with healthcare-grade cleaners. Four finishes: clear acrylic, frosted acrylic, charcoal PET, and marble PET.
Specify Your Screens
Curved screen finishes
Curved screen finishes
Eight acoustic PET finishes with duotone customization available: brick, charcoal, concrete, marble, midnight, peacock, sapphire, and steel. Brackets are powder-coated white.
Floor-standing divider finishes
Floor-standing divider finishes
Frame: satin aluminum, glossy white, or matte black.
Panels available in both floor and desk positions: clear acrylic, frosted acrylic, dry erase, and PET in pewter, steel, midnight, marble, cobalt, and charcoal.
Floor panel only: magnetic dry erase, plus laminate in navy, slate blue, gray, white, black, walnut, oak, and elm.
Clear and frosted acrylic are what to specify where you need a see-through barrier rather than an acoustic one.
Magnetic divider finishes
Magnetic divider finishes
Around 25 acoustic PET colours, running from neutrals through saturated accents. Ice, marble, concrete, sand, steel, charcoal, and midnight sit at the quiet end; peacock, sapphire, and cobalt at the loud one.
Interior and exterior faces are specified separately from the same palette, so a panel can be one colour to the person sitting at it and another to the room. Writable panels are offered in magnetic dry erase and glossy white.
We'll send the full swatch range with your quote, and physical samples if you're choosing between close tones.
Clamp-on enclosure finishes
Clamp-on enclosure finishes
Four panel finishes: clear acrylic, frosted acrylic, charcoal PET, and marble PET. Hardware is an aluminum clamp.
Mounting and fit
Mounting and fit
- The curved screen clamps to the desk edge. It needs at least 3" of clearance at the bracketed edges, and is set with a 1" gap between panel and desk to prevent bowing and leave a cable path.
- The floor-standing divider stands on the floor and does not attach to the desk. Its adjustable foot suits worksurfaces between 27.5" and 29.5" tall.
- The magnetic divider uses brackets that clamp to any worksurface up to 1.5" thick; panels then attach magnetically.
- The clamp-on enclosure fits any worksurface up to 1.5" thick, extending 2.25" below it, with panels sitting 1" off the edge for cord clearance.
None of the four requires drilling into your furniture.
Installation
Installation
The clamp-on enclosure assembles in under five minutes and the floor-standing divider in under ten, though the divider needs two people to stand it upright. The curved screen needs two installers and a 10mm wrench, adjustable wrench, or pliers; the wrap version also joins its three panels with pre-applied tape plus a construction-grade adhesive, so allow cure time before the unit is handled. The magnetic divider needs only an adjustable wrench.
Lead time is two to three weeks across the range.
Materials, cleaning, and sustainability
Materials, cleaning, and sustainability
Panels are acoustic PET, with clear and frosted acrylic offered on the floor-standing divider and the clamp-on enclosure. The magnetic divider's PET is 0.75" thick.
Acoustics: the curved screen is rated NRC 0.60. Published figures aren't available for the other three. If a project needs documented absorption, ask us and we'll request the test data.
Cleaning: all four are cleanable with healthcare-grade cleaners.
Sustainability: the floor-standing divider's frame is made from 75% recycled content, and both frame and panels can be recycled. The curved screen uses recyclable PET and steel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will these fit my desks?
Will these fit my desks?
Almost certainly, but it depends which one. The floor-standing divider comes in sizes matched to specific desk depths and table widths, and its adjustable foot covers worksurfaces 27.5" to 29.5" tall. The magnetic divider and clamp-on enclosure fit any worksurface up to 1.5" thick. The curved screen needs at least 3" of clear desk edge where the brackets land. Send us the desk depth, width, and thickness and we'll confirm before you order.
Do we have to drill into our desks?
Do we have to drill into our desks?
No. The magnetic divider uses magnets and clamp brackets, the curved screen and clamp-on enclosure clamp to the desk edge, and the floor-standing divider stands on the floor without touching the desk at all. Nothing is screwed into your furniture, so screens can come off and move with no trace.
Do they actually reduce noise?
Do they actually reduce noise?
The panels are acoustic PET felt, which absorbs sound instead of bouncing it back into the room. The curved screen carries a published rating of NRC 0.60, meaning it absorbs roughly 60 percent of the sound energy reaching it. Published figures aren't available for the other three, so we won't quote one. If your project needs documented absorption, tell us and we'll request the test data before you specify.
Can we write on them or pin things up?
Can we write on them or pin things up?
Yes to both, across the range. All PET panels are tackable, so a thumbtack goes straight in. The magnetic divider's steel brackets are coated in a dry erase finish, and the floor-standing divider offers dry erase and magnetic dry erase panels outright.
What if we need a clear barrier rather than an acoustic one?
What if we need a clear barrier rather than an acoustic one?
Specify the clamp-on enclosure, which is built around clear or frosted acrylic and wraps a single desk on three sides. The floor-standing divider also offers clear and frosted acrylic panels in both floor and desk positions if you need the barrier to run taller. The curved screen and magnetic divider are felt only.
If the barrier is going on a service counter rather than a desk, our counter shields are the better product.
How long does installation take?
How long does installation take?
The clamp-on enclosure goes together in under five minutes and the floor-standing divider in under ten, though the divider needs two people to stand it upright. The curved screen takes two installers and a 10mm wrench; the wrap version also joins its three panels with adhesive, so build in cure time. The magnetic divider needs only an adjustable wrench.
How do we clean them?
How do we clean them?
All four are cleanable with healthcare-grade cleaners, which is why they suit clinical, education, and shared-desk environments as readily as a standard office.
What's the warranty?
What's the warranty?
Ten years, backed by Freedman's. Our warranty supersedes the manufacturer's, so you deal with us rather than filing a claim with a factory in another state.
What's the lead time, and how do they ship?
What's the lead time, and how do they ship?
Two to three weeks to ship, made in Texas. [CONFIRM whether these ship parcel or freight, and any minimum order. Unlike cubicles and glass walls, desk screens may go parcel, which changes the shipping answer entirely.]
Privacy at the Desk Without Rebuilding the Floor
Open plan solved collaboration and broke focus. The usual fixes, adding cubicles or building rooms, mean new furniture or new construction and a floor that's out of service while it happens. Desk screens sit in between: they attach to the desks already on the floor and give each person a visual and acoustic edge to their working position.
Acoustic felt, not plexiglass
These are PET felt panels. They absorb sound instead of reflecting it, and every one of them takes a thumbtack, so the screen becomes usable surface rather than dead area. Where you genuinely need a transparent barrier, the clamp-on enclosure and the floor-standing divider both offer clear and frosted acrylic panels.
Send us the depth, width, and thickness of your desks along with a headcount, and we'll tell you which one fits and what it costs.
