About our CEO
Steve Freedman had ambitions in 1980 higher than the towering skyscrapers under construction in downtown Tampa. With a newly-earned Finance degree from the University of South Florida, $200 cash and a Sears credit card, he founded Freedman’s Office Furniture to serve a city on the verge of a business boom. The 800 SQ FT retail store Steve opened then has grown into a two-showroom marvel, a local company with a national distribution that continues to thrive. Committed to high-design solutions for every budget, Steve is dedicated to an even higher level of customer service. Whether he’s donating furniture to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation or personally welcoming customers to his stores, Steve Freedman is invested in the future of his hometown.
